The 1st MCA & CHCA International FIDE Rated Rapid and Blitz Chess Tournament 2024 concluded successfully, showcasing remarkable performances from players across various age groups and categories. The tournament featured intense competition and celebrated the talents of players in both the rapid and blitz formats.
Rapid Chess Tournament Highlights
Prize Winners:
- Carmina Gregory A secured the 1st place in the Female U07 category, demonstrating exceptional skill and focus.

Age Group Awards:
- U07 Boys: 1st place was awarded to Juvan Abel J.

- U11 Boys: Ajin P R achieved 3rd place, and Sreejith P R placed 5th, both showcasing promising talent.


- U13 Boys: Tameem Rosaun N secured 1st place, Aswanth Krishna K 2nd, and Noushith S A 5th, highlighting a competitive group in this age category.



KKDCA Category Awards:
- U13 Girls: Riyana Tony E S received 4th place, representing the KKDCA Under 13 Girls category.

- U15 Boys: Jervish S A secured 3rd place in the KKDCA Under 15 Boys category.

- U15 Girls: Ikshitha R M placed 3rd in the KKDCA Under 15 Girls category.

Special Awards:
- Best Kanniyakumari Player: Mehul S U was recognized as the top player from Kanniyakumari, reflecting his strong performance throughout the tournament.

- Main Prize Winners: Profili Emilio and Sathya Giri V secured 3rd and 6th positions, respectively, in the Open Category.

- Rating 0 – 1800 Category: Steve Rohan S achieved 5th place in the Under 15 Boys category.
- Women (18+): Retna Priya L S was awarded 1st place in the Women’s age 18+ category.
Blitz Chess Tournament Highlights
The Blitz Chess format featured fast-paced games, testing the players’ agility and quick decision-making skills. Notable performances include:
- Profili Emilio from France, a valued member of our academy, delivered an outstanding performance to secure 3rd place in the Blitz tournament. His skill and adaptability in high-pressure situations were evident throughout, marking him as a top competitor in this format.

- Tameem Rosaun N, showcased resilience and tactical acumen, finishing in the 21st position.

- Mehul S U and Divin S V, earned commendable positions, ranking 45th and 28th, respectively.
